Benton pitcher Thomas Allen and Haughton outfielder Christian Turner have been named to the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association Division I All-State team.
Allen, a ULM signee, and Turner, an Arkansas signee, recently completed outstanding high school careers.
Allen was 9-3 with an ERA of 1.36. He had 90 strikeouts in 66 2/3 innings. He helped the Tigers win the District 1-5A championship and was named the Pitcher of the Year on the All-District team.
Turner batted .405 with 12 doubles, eight triples, five home runs and 32 RBI. He was named the Player of the Year on the All-District 1-5A team and helped the Bucs finish runner-up.
